Garage
Oprah? Dr. Phil? Garbage in-garbage out.

Minivans? Doesn't Dexter (showtime serial killer) drive a minivan?

I drive a boring vehicle every day. ('08 F150) I don't think (or I hope it doesn't) have any effect on the perceptions of me from the opposite sex. Ummm... maybe it does. Oh well. Most people in the area I live in don't even know about the Boxster in the garage. I didn't buy it for image issues.

Why are we talking about this???

when Oprah demonstrates a capacity to keep a relationship alive herself, then I'll consider her opinion.

Well,
I have both. A Boxster S, 944 turbo S and a minivan but my daily driver is a Lexus or a CRX Si. Minivan is driven only for long trips which I do often. My P-cars are driven mainly on weekends. I bought the P-cars cause I wanted them not because of image. Around here a Boxster seems to be a dime a dozen. I get more attention in the CRX than in any of my of my other cars. Mainly to see if I want to sell it.

here's an article that somewhat balances this stuff out:

http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2009/10/14/study-testosterone-cars.html

Basic premise: Porsches keep you more like a man than boring sedans.

Yes I was going to post that too. It's too funny that my last car was a 96 Camry.

I like the anger behind the wheel part. I live in an area infested with giant SUV's commandeered by phone yaking, coffee drinking women that don't know how to operate turn signals and find it perfectly fine to ignore traffic signals while multi-tasking on who-knows-what behind the wheel...oh, did I stereotype?

My kids knew the term "dumb-ass" before it was popularized by Beavis and Butthead.

Yeah, I drive my P-cars looking for a quickie...little do the "experts" know the drive is usually more enjoyable (at least the aftermath part).

I know some female Boxster owners that enjoy driving their cars as much as I do...maybe they're looking for a little action on the side?

to follow oprah's logic, a guy that picks up a girl for a date in a full-size cargo van is ready for marriage??? gimme a break!
a car is a car, don't judge a book by its cover. BTW i have a boxster and a bmw wagon, according to oprah i'm conflicted.
