ebay led taillights for 98 box

Has any body tried these are they dependable ? I see these on eBay for $174 plus shipping I have not heard much about them

You should post a pic of the exact lamps you're asking about. There are a number of styles of LED lights on fleaBay.

Just got done changing out the bulbs in my set today.

It does look really good ( smoked led on black boxster ). I've had many compliments within the last few months that I have had them on. Even the body shop guy that did the install commented that it updates the look of the car by years. I agree with him.

However, its only been a few months, and I've lost both side's brake lights (burnt out bulb). Its either because of the crappy bulb used to save cost ( the bulbs bought from kragen looked alot sturdier ), but it could also be because the voltage is over powering the bulb. On the good side, the bulbs used are cheap ( $13 for the entire set of bulb for both sides )

There's quite a few kinds on ebay. If you get the type with the harness already wired in and ready to plug in, install should be quite quick (30 minutes).

I would suggest going ahead and just put in better bulbs when you install them.
