Coolant spewed everywhere!

So i'm at a light and i see white smoke, i pull in a parking lot and there it is gushing coolant everywhere from the engine bay. This car is killing me. I have a 3.6L but i'm sure the coolant hose are probably the same. Could this be like a head gasket or probably a popped off Coolant hose?? Thanks.

With as much coolant as you describe it is probably just a split hose.

When head gaskets fail on these engines (a very rare event, as far as I can tell, btw) the coolant tends to leak internally and end up in the oil or combustion chambers.

Coolant Leak

I had something similar happen. It turned out to be air in the coolant system causing the entire coolant tank to overflow. No repairs were necessary. Some others have had the same thing happen. Good luck!

It could be the water pump. my coolant went every where when my went. Also all the lights on my dash lit up because it broke the serpentine belt.

If coolant spewed everywhere it could indeed be the WP. I had an experience where my 986 dumped a ton of coolant near the right rear wheel well. Turned out the only problem was a bad radiator cap.
