I got my boxster!!

At age 20, finally I got my car... I picked up a burgundy with savannah beige interior. It is a 1999 model with 45 thousand miles. I paid 20,400 dollars. I think I got an excellent deal. It is beautiful. It has traction control, the premium sound system available. Its awesome!!!!!! I love it.. I wouldnt give it up for the world. I will bring pics soon!

Oh, you're 20 and you have a Boxster? I'm jealous. No, I mean I hate you. No, I mean it's too much car for such a young kid. ;-)

Welcome, from another relatively young (22) Boxster owner. Sounds like you got a great deal on what sounds like a beautiful car.

Better budget another hour per week into your schedule for random conversations with prospective owners, young kids, and other p-car enthusiasts that you'll no doubt meet at gas stations, red lights, and parking lots. Then there's the "oh you spend all your money on your car" comments that you'll get from your coworkers who have NO CLUE that your car costs less than their 2004 Honda Accord EX. Still can't explain the economics of it to my girlfriend who's answer to anything car-related is "so? you drive a porsche!"

You're gonna love it!

This board is really starting to pick up. Having young, new boxster owners on here is really good for this site. Congrats on your purchase and post often as I'm sure you have a ton of questions.

Awesome man, your story sounds the same as mine. I'm 20 and I picked mine up last Saturday (Forest Green Metalic 2000 with 43k miles). I love it and I'm sure we'll both get a bunch of enjoyment out of them.

BTW: Where ya from?

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

"damn now only if I were single"

Be careful what you wish for!

In most divorces, the Porsche goes bye-bye!

Damn Bruce, nice timing on taking over the board. I'm guessing this place will be jumping by spring.

Wow, ok, that had nothing to do with you. In the future, maybe you can find something better to do with your time than following me from thread to thread and making negative comments.

Anyway, I think burgundy with beige interior is one of the nicest (and most unique) color combinations available. Do you have any pics yet???

These cars are just beauties, period. The only other car I've owned which got close to the amount of looks was the 350Z, and that was purchased when it first came out so of course it got looks. Come to think of it, my BMW M-Coupe also got lots of stares, but probably from people wondering why BMW styled a car after a clown shoe.
