Service shop reccomendations in NOVA

Hey all,

May or may not need some porfessional service on the 2002 Boxster (depends on the results after I get to reading the CEL code this afternoon). Assuming its something I can't fix myself, are there any general reccomendations for "good" service shops (dealer or non-dealer) in Northern Virginia/Maryland...I have been to HBL/Tysons before with my old Audi and IMO they are hit-and-miss and a pain to get to from where I live in NOVA (Ashburn). I also used to go to Currys with my Audi and thought they were pretty good but that was several years ago when they actually had a shop here in Ashburn.

THANKS

Curry's quality/service/pricing has gone downhill since they expanded over the past few years -- they now have 5 locations! I'd avoid them.

ASG in Merrifield is the one I trust the most, but there are other good ones such as Autobahn, German Auto Group, and Intersport. IMA, which has moved out your way (were in Fairfax, now in Dulles), is also hit/miss and I know some long-time customers have stopped using them.

AFAIK, Funktion Auto is a decent shop, but I've never used them.

i had a good experience with IMA last month.

i've also heard good things about German Auto Group, but I've found their prices are pretty much the same as stealerships.

The guy to go to is in Chantilly if that's at all convenient. It will be well worth the trip . . . talk to Minh . . .

Here's the website, tell 'em Mr. Greek recommended . . . really.

No, I now live in Haymarket now. Updated my profile to now reflect that I have a Boxster S as well.

I did however have to drive about 300 miles to get my Ferrari serviced. Now I just cross the river into MD.

You don't have Ferrari of Washington do service? I heard they're a really good dealership...maybe that's for sales?

I won't comment on FoW, as I have never been there, but as I have an old car with carbs, I usually look for an independant with good reveiews and really knows the old cars. The F dealer I bought the car from recommended the folks at Competizione in MD, and when I get around to taking her in, I'll know whether I made the correct choice.
