define junk
Viper, when you say that many radar detectors are junk, what exactly do you mean? Do they not detect radar/laser? Are they unreliable giving false positives? Are they too slow to detect effectively and allow corrective action? Do they cause spontaneous combustion of boxsters? Can they cause brain cancer?
(I know, I got a little off track)
What if you just want a detector to use in finding out the likely spots for radar traps rather than on board units? Would the junk ones be OK?
