Slight road noise from rear right

I own a '01 Boxster (2.7, 50k). I've noticed a light whirring noise (almost like a turbine) coming from the rear right side. I can only hear the noise when going under 35mph before it's drowned out. I've searched the forum and wheel bearing problem seems to fit the bill. I'm not sure if the sound changes when cornering, since it's already pretty faint.

Are wheel bearing issues common? On the non-S? Any other possibilities? Since the noise is faint right now, do I have time? I called my local dealership and they said that bearing problems are pretty rare.

i get something similar, but from the front right. In my case it isnt constant and will quickly disappear with a bit of steering input.
