Lease end questions (non-Porsche)

My Mazda 6 lease is up on June 26th. I'd like to purchase the car.

The research I've done said to wait until the leasing company calls you, as it gives you a stronger negotiation position. My question is, shouldn't they have called me by now? They did schedule the lease-end inspection, which went fine, but I haven't heard anything else.

I think you already have all the leverage you'll need. They don't want the car back (especially now) and usually will respond to any reasonable offer. Last time I was in this position I gave a low ball offer and they took it within minutes. Good luck.
