Painting rear and upper console.

Just curious if anyone has removed their console parts and had a local shop paint them? Seems like the most economical route to go for the interior stuff. Thinking of doing the rear console, upper horseshoe and perhaps the strip that runs horizontal across the middle of the dash in Arctic Silver.

I'm aware you can purchase pre-painted parts, but the prices seem a bit steep. I can't imagine painting and clear coating several interior parts being more than $200 which is many times less than if you were to purchase new ones.

Thoughts? Success?

Did you look in DIY?

Edit...sorry, re-reading, I sounded a little harsh.
