Need Pre-purchase Inspection in Albany, NY area

Newb here, but not new to Porsches.

I'm looking for a Porsche shop more thorough than Langdan [not that I know anything about them one way or the other] which will perform a thorough pre-purchase inspection on a 2003 Boxster S which I'm looking to buy [duh!]. An added bonus would be one with a lower labor rate [ouch! $110/hour] I'd rather not get bit in the *** by a major surprise.

Any leads would be helpful indeed.

Thanks in advance,

GP

First off, welcome to the forum! Can't help you with a shop but please please please do me a favor and avoid the Comic Sans font.

Thanks for the welcome, Timothy!

Wow! I struck a nerve....

It's always important for newbs to be careful when posting on a new list. I certainly meant no disrespect or harm.

I will avoid font deviance in the future, Timothy. Not only as a favor to you, but you said the magic word three times! How could I possibly refuse? No comic sans from me.

Gary,

I don't think capital city has a P car dealership. I'm thinking you need to check Poughkeepsie, Newburgh or somewhere in Massachusetts. If you really like the car, perhaps you can get the seller to commit in writing to repair anything you find within a specified time period. Another option is to find a good independent Porsche wrench in Albany, if said mechanic works on Boxsters frequently and comes with glowing reports from other P car owners, I would be confident in their PPI abilities in a pinch.
