Boxster S Anniversary Edition

Just upgraded to one of these and was wondering how many forum members also have one? I know they made 1953 worldwide. Anyone know how many they shipped to the US?

congratulations...be nice to it.

I remember seeing these in the dealer showroom at Ray Catena here in NJ.
The interior trim really stood out. I think those chromed bits were only available to the 550.

I almost bought one, I love that car but I'm now glad I passed given the fact that Porsche is making "Anniversary Additions" and because current models eclipse the specs, they just don't have a stamped plate. What I should have done was keep this, (stock photo) which I read is more rare than some corvettes, mine had 6,500 miles on it... DOH'

I almost took a sales job in that showroom. A little to "big city" dealer for me. I'm happy I got the dark gray interior not the cocoa brown. Thought they all had cocoa until I came across this one. Pleasantly surprised with the dark gray.

Garage
A buddy of mine had one of those. One bad ass Cosworth Vega, the engine was a work of art. BTW, that was in 1985.

I had mine in 1981 or there abouts, the fuel injection was primitive so the idle bounced from the min to the max limiter. That thing could **************** & get though, it was surprisingly fast, especially loud too with the cat converter off. Ah the good old days, no worries about air quality inspection back then..
