My car has been exceptionally reliable. Knock on wood.

My last 3 repairs:

- 03 factory convertible top retrofitted to my 01 (not really a repair, but I wanted an OEM glass soft top)

- New motor mount at 58k miles (old one cracked)

- Cracked Coolant tank at 38k miles (replaced under warranty)

I've only had my '01 S for a month, but I just had the two right hand CV boots and the coolant reservoir replaced. They also did a coolant flush and oil change (with Shell Helix). I could have done some of that myself, but I wanted to have the car on the road for the big weekend. Total cost 1.8 "Porsche Units".

I must say, this car is f**king phenomenal on twisty mountain passes. Plus, one benefit I hadn't expected, almost everyone moved over to let me pass!

I bought my '98 back in February, and I knew that it needed a little bit of work.
I installed new rotors and pads at all 4 corners.
2 Bilstein struts for the rear.
1 motor mount, as I think it had been torn for many many years, and the original owner just never noticed.
And most recently, I had to replace the microswitch for the top, as whenever I closed the door with the top up, both windows would roll down several inches.

When I replaced the switch, I noticed that someone had rigged it with an o-ring at some previous point in the car's life, and the o-ring finally wore out. How lame that whomever rigged it just didn't spend the $35 for a new switch instead.

BC.

In the past three years:

Front verticle stabilizers / drop links. Twice.

Driver's side visor

Repair to the velcro holding strap as part of the convertible tracking

Left rear wheel bearing

Coolant bleed valve? Don't remember - will have to look it up.

Cool

The previous owner had this done at the Porsche dealer since new:

1) 2 new sunvisors. $176 each

2) New seat belt parts and airbag something? $1900

3) Interstate battery and case last year $300

Nothing for me...knock wood.

It was actually a generic one.
