996 Ten Spoke Rims

Hi,
So I just found some 996 ten spoke rims that I am interested in buying. The sizes are 17x8" and 17x10". I am wondering if these will fit on my Boxster without spacers?
Will my current tires 205/55/17 and 255/40/17 fit as well?
Thanks!

not sure about the spacers, but you're tires wont fit. I have 17 x 10 in the rear and you'll need a 275/40 .. up front Im running a 245/45 .. on a 8.5 wide rim. Hope this helps

The other thing is, I think the guy listed the wrong sizes. The part numbers he showed and the Porsche catalog list the sizes as 17x7" and 17x9", I think he may have measured wrong since they never made the rims in those sizes.

Why wouldn't the tires fit? It will fit, it's within spec, it's just not the recommended rim width for 255 wide tires.

If the tires will fit I think I'll bite. If it turns out I can't get them to fit I'll resell them.
These are the numbers he listed 9J x 17 ET 50 and 9J x 17 ET 55, but again I am not sure how much the guy nows since they never made them in that size, but the rims appear to be OEM and the tires he said he had on them are the same size as the ones I have.

If OEM they will have a part number "stamped" onto them

and you can look up that part # in the PET (Porsche's parts list)

I like that style.
Wheel Enhancement lists them as 17x7 & 17x9.

I just figured it out, he was measuring from the outside of the rim but the actual measurement is from the inside of the lip, which is why he is incorrect. I just bought them and I should have them in the next few weeks. I post pictures when I get them on, I look forward to seeing what my Boxster looks like!
