How to clean muffler tip of a 550AE?

Can anyone advise me how to clean the carbon deposits off of the muffler tip without doing any damage? Thanks

Someone on the fourm recommended a very fine grade of steel wool, works great for me,

I wouldn't touch my exhaust with a steel wool unless you got some serious rust on those stainless tips.

IMO, a clear coat safe polish or swirl remover will not only remove all the black marks it will 100% not scratch or change their factory appearance. Keep and old wash mitt and hit the muffler tips, wheel wells and anywhere else dirt accumulates in quanity. This way the pristine mitt you use elsewhere will remain cleaner.
