Tree sap on the seats

I was working in the yard under my pine tree and got a nice glob of tree sap on my back. After completing the yard projects, I hop into the Boxster (of course wearing the same shirt... and the nice glob of tree sap is now on the leather seat.

I started cleaning with dish soap... no result. Did a web search and then I used vegetable oil. The vegetable oil cleaned the sap right off. I wipe the oil off with some dish soap and the spot is all clean.

Thought I would share this little housekeeping with everyone.
