Check out my new hood badge!

I probably paid way too much for this ($167) but I thought it was super sexy! I got it off of Ebay from a German seller named Michael Kiel . He said that it's from a local artist that takes old hood badges and re-enamels them with nontraditional colors. I'm not sure if he can request custom colors but it couldn't hurt to ask.

From what I understand the change to the badge was cosmetic but the fit should be the same. I hope I'm not wrong. It's the same size as my existing hood badge. It will just come down to the placement of the pegs.

I haven't had a chance to put it on. The day I got the badge I had to take my Boxster to the shop for a new water pump, thermostat, serp belt and new brake pads. I was leaking coolant. I'll get it back tomorrow and see if the badge fits.

Even though it's an older style badge it's a perfect fit/direct swap.

Photos coming soon. Charging camera.

Ha! I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a few more weeks of charging... that should do it.

I know! I'm sorry. My camera is dead and my wife is starting her new job tomorrow (we both got laid off in December). Now that we're both working again I can afford a new camera. I promise I'll post as soon as I can get a picture.

i'd like to see this on the car. i'll bet it looks nice.

my crest is looking old and it wiggles...... with a dark blue (ocean blue) car, I think a black or darker crest would look cool. I changed out my rear emblem to the "986" in black...and would like to have something black up front.

what do you think of this one?
