Aluminum look 986 shift knob

Is there a set screw in this knob? If so, where? I've pulled the boot up as far as I think it will go without ripping. I got my short shifter in but, can't get the knob off. I've got the original is the vise right now.

Just pull up on it really hard, it should come right off.
