Does 225/45R17 need a spacer?

Buying a set of track tires for my 17" wheels. Tire Rack suggested a 225/45 in front instead of the standard 205/50. Does this require a spacer to clear the strut or anything else?

no. many of us are running a 225/45 up front.
Like I have mentioned in other posts I personally feel running that size on the front actually helps cure a little bit of the inherent under-steer with factory settings.
