The Porsche branded charger is not

a charger but a maintainer. It will not charge a run down battery. It will maintain one at or near full charge.

You need 3 things...a cigarette lighter socket In the C320 that fits the Porsche charger, a lighter socket that is powered directly by the battery and isn't switched off when the ignition is turned off and a 12v system. We know you have the last, perhaps you can tell the first 2.

Yes, I have all the parts. I just want to make sure that this maintainer can be use on my MB. You think it is okay?

Yes - you'll be fine w/ no problems. Maintainers are for the battery and batteries are, for the most part, the same 'technology'. Porsche doesn't make the maintainer itself either. They usually just re-brand others. For instance, the Porsche Charge-o-mat II is just a re-branded c-Tek 3300.

You can either plug it into the cig lighter (provided your cig lighter isn't switched off w/ ignition as Mike stated) or you can connect directly to the battery. Either way, what you have will work w/o any problems.
