Power Steering leak (return line)

I wrote a few weeks ago about oil on the top left side of my block. Got some ideas. Turns out it's a power steering leak at the return line from the tank. I looked up the part and will order.

In my Bentley Service Manual (page 48-13) It says "detach return line from tank. Working at rear of pump, push red locking ring forward and pull out line. Use plastic tools to press unlocking ring."

Has anyone done this? What is the plastic tool are they referring to. My buddy and I tried to carefully remove the return line without luck.

Is there "O" ring inside that just needs to be replaced?

Thanks for the help. Jack
