I just got a new Excellence today and there was a submission in the "Letters to the Editor" section about the M96 article by one 'J. Matta'.

So, playing 986forum detective like Tim liked to do, jmatta, was that you??

That would be me...I need to email Pete Stout and thank him for the placement. This whole M96 motor issue is intriguing to me. My car has 15k miles on it, but the thought of a 3.6 sounds pretty good. I must admit though, the 3.2 in the S is a very nice motor, especially with minor mods done to let it breath a little better. Jake has been very good about answering all our emails and should expect to have a good business year in '09.

When I read the letter in Excellence I also wondered if it was you.

I think the more owners that write follow up letters to Excellence, the better the chances for additional articles. It seems every forum I've read recently either quoted Jake, or he participated in the discussion himself.

Too bad I'm way north as I'd like to visit his shop. I'm working on my independent Porsche specialist to participate on the flat6 program; as a master race engine builder, he could only profit from the rebuild program (already rebuilds cup motors and air cooled).

Just wanted to say I saw the letter as well. I also saw Raby and Navarro mentioned.

Good job on the letter, looking forward to seeing it, you guys always get your copy about three days before mine arrives.
