Removing the "Clamshell"/Top Cover

How difficult is it to remove the convertible top cover? I scratched mine while installing my hard top (I'm still kicking myself) and for several reasons it might be easier for me to just drop off that piece for repair.

Does anyone know where I can find a step-by-step set of instructions?

I have never seen instructions for removing the clamshell online, but you might email Zeintop. You have to remove the clamshell to install their top, so their instructions probably tell you how to remove it.
