temporary seats?

Hello everyone,
I have a question........Are there any seats that will fit into a boxster just for 2 weeks?
I am sending my seats off to be recovered with black leather in the style of the aston martin zagato.

So while they are at the leather man, I would like to drive the car.

He offered a 911 seat, but the head of our bolts do not fit in the groove of the rails.

I just need the driver seat for 2 weeks, will like a VW or anything i can get at a junk yard fit?
James

I don't think it would be worth the effort and probably unsafe to rig something up for the short term.

As for the new seats, I don't see the style (though there's nothing wrong with it) looking appropriate in a Boxster, but it's your car.

Since it's only temporary, why not find a cap bolt (same thread pitch, diameter) that will clear the seat rail and use the 911 seat? It may take a little searching, but there is certainly one out there which would work. It could be as simple as getting 4 replacement 911 seat bolts from the dealer.

Let's not get too fancy. After all, it's just temporary, right?

Bolt a couple of these down to the floorboard and you're good to go:

I have a spare seat in crappy condition in my garage that you can drive over and get if you like. Bastrop is a couple hour's drive from downtown Houston were I live, but hey, it's FREE.

I do need to check the actual condition to ensure it's intact. I think the center panel on the backrest may be gone (I think I sold it) on it but at least it would let you drive the car safely while your seats are in the shop.

PM me if you're interested.

If the 911 seats are from a 996 they are a direct bolt in....however, if you do not have full power seats and the 996 seats are you will have to do some wiring to enable them to move.
