Hey Vancouver Island Boxster owners...

I want a short shift kit, but after nearly going blind looking at forums, I still can't figure out which one is the right one for me. I want just the right combo of throw and effort with minimal notchiness.

The main options as far as I can see are:

Porsche / B&M short shifter for 986
Schnell
Evo Swift Shift
Porsche 987/997 standard shifter
Porsche 987/997 short shifter

Do any of you Vanc Island 986 owners have a SSK in a 5 spd that I could try before I shell out the bucks and take chisel to bushing?

I tried one in a new 987 on the dealer's lot, and it just didn't seem like that much of an improvement. Is it a different feel when in the 986?

If that's not noticeable to you, then you'll have to move up to either the Porsche or B&M SSK.
