Don't know if this helps, but I bought a 2000 triple black boxster in mint condition about 5 months ago. 31,000 miles and recently had the 30,000 service at the Tampa Porsche dealership. Found the car on autotrader. He was asking $19,500 and we agreed on $18,250.
I think I got a fair deal, not a great deal. With the economy the way it is and since your are purchasing it from your parents (assuming you have a good relationship with them), I think $16,000 to $17,000 is a fair price.
