later model 986 have a different rearview mirror?

Does the later model have a rearview mirror with a longer arm? I ask because I recently got the glass rear window GAHH top. Now I find myself having to crouch down a little in my seat to see out the rear view mirror. It may have to do with being 6'4" though. I feel like I'm driving a super car sometimes which are known for their tiny rear windows.

I love the top and knew that was an issue before going into it. But, glass made sense over plastic.

Nope... no different mirror.

I believe the issue you're having is with the GAHH Glass window which is smaller than the Glass window on the OEM top - the only way they could get the top to fold using the existing frame, which differs from the one used by the OEM Glass top.

Oh, I was under the impression that the GAHH top was exactly like the OEM glass window top.

The factory glass top is a 4 bow frame, vs the 3 bow frame that the plastic top uses. In order to make the glass top work with the 3 bow frame, it is smaller. Apparently its difficult to fold a piece of glass in half
