How to Wreck your Boxster!
Take a look at this baby on Ebay: Click here to see the the link!
The best part: It has been completely modified in and out to look like a 2005 Carrera GT that retails for over $450,000.
IN and OUT....yeppers....he did a great job on the interior.

I am not sure if it is just my eyes...but the picture showing the side of it makes it kind of look like a pickup truck.
But it *DOES* have the key on the left side so that should fool everyone.

I dunno, I think it's one of the better looking Carrera GT clones that has graced the forum. But that's my view from 1300 miles away. Hard to say what it looks like up close. The marketing is way over the top. I wonder which 2 of the 3 dimensions they're talking about when they say it's been stretch 12" in both directions? Would I scratch together the 125 gir and buy it now? No way. In fact, I don't think I'd pay $18K for it (the cost of the donor 00S).
But I'm too shy to drive a car like that. Who needs all the attention anyway?

it does kinda look like a weird pickup. The proportions are weird. I would pay 18k for it only if i had that kind of money lying around. I wonder if he got the rear bumper/exhaust from 9ff? I know they make something like that

I wouldn't even pay $18k for it, let alone what they are asking. If I'm spending $125k on a car, it won't be a FAKE anything.

I think that the only reason I would buy it is so I can play a joke on some people. Think: "whats the dumbest thing someone can do with a carrera gt" then do it in that car. It would be good for a laugh at least

If I won an obscene amount of money in the lotto I'd buy it and paint it with some stupid food theme like this car.

I think I know where this came from. There is a company on A1A in Ft. Lauderdale. They take newer model Boxster S cars with low mileage and turn them into the car you see on this link and also Lambo's. They gut the interior to make it look exactly like the real thing. The bodies are fiberglass. The exhaust sounds like the real thing. I was so intrigued, I went to the body shop to check it out. The cars (turn key) are $50,000. You can get a turbo carrera engine for $15,000 more. They are so busy, it takes about 2 years to get your car.
I have to admit it, the cars are beautiful and for most people, they would not know the difference from a real one. Even the engine has a lambo cover on it. The Diablo was truely identical to the original.
I don't like fake items. As far as I am concerned, if you can't afford the real thing, don't buy it.

Not my cup of tea ... sorry. No matter how hard people / companies try the proportions always look off to me.
We'll see how much someone will pay for this though ... (or not).

I, too, wondered which 2 of the 3 dimensions it was stretched in. And, the fact that Porsche has a new "3.2L V6 Sport" powerplant? That must be the next upcoming motor for the CGT replacement.
I think I must just be too shy to drive a car like this.

Your engine used to be a V6 sport too, but it went flat. You should really check the air in your muffler bearing next time.

I would love to get a hold of those headlights. I wonder if I can order just the blacked out projectors.
The car looks rediculous. If I were to spend 125k it would be on a used cayenne turbo AND a used 996 turbo... or just an aston martin
