So I'm not sure who Ashley Tisdale is, but she's got a Boxster
I'm also a member of a fashion forum, and in one section we post pics of celebs wearing certain types of shoes. (Yeah, I know, guys probably think this is silly.) Anyway, I was more excited to see that this girl has a Boxster, same color as mine too. And I'm sure I'm probably the only person who has no idea who she is. She just looks like one of those generic starlets to me.

Don't know who she is but I hope she doesn't have a boxster in manual with those shoes :D

That's what I was thinking. But I have a manual and I just switch shoes to drive. |

WTF, like OMG, U guys R so like such old geezers! Ashley Tisdale stars in the Disney show "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody" as well as the High School Musical movies.... at least that's what my kids tell me. ROTFLMAO
|
High School Musical series. I take a lot of cross country plane rides. These movies drive me crazy but she is in one or more of them.
:D |
Never heard of her before.... and I'm a better person because of it.

Are those Christian Louboutins?
So LoveBunny - what was the verdict on the shoes over on the fashion forum?
|
Love the shoes. But it takes special practice to walk in them. If you can balance a wine glass on your head filled 1/2" from the brim and walk without spilling any, you have mastered high heels. :)
Thankfully, I don't know any of the High School Musical actors. Life is good. |
She's part of that whole parallel Disney universe. They have their own superstars and rock stars that only exist in Disney world. With the exception of Miley Cyrus (Mr. Achy Breaky Heart's kid) none of them have actually crossed over into the non-Disney universe. But Miley is making up for it by making Olson twins money.
eh...I don't know seems like people are famous these days for simply being famous and or blonde. The stalker-razi are like dope peddlers for the public that can't get enough of no-talents. |
|
Yikes ... how on earth can a girl wear shoes like that?

there really was no verdict, just a post of a pic. Seems more people like to talk about Victoria Bekham. At least I know who she is. And yes, some of us women are really obsessed with our shoes. Some of the chat over there gets as technical as boxster chat here. Here is the post if anyone is actually interested. (Hopefully there are no boxster driving foot pervs that see this) http://forum.purseblog.com/christian-louboutin-shoes/celebrities-and-their-louboutins-207788-184.html#post7143388 |
LB, damn! Almost 200 pages on 1 topic - even the RMS/IMS threads here aren't that long :D
Oh, and I'd heard the name Ashley Tisdale before, but didn't have any idea who she is (kinda still don't.... but happy to keep it that way). |
LoveBunny
Wow that site is way too technical. I'm definitely a legs man and I'd enjoy any long leg women with some nice stilletos! http://www.pbase.com/elegantcam/imag...0229/large.jpg |
Yikes, have to agree with those posting on the shoes and driving a manual!
|
With those heels I hope she sees a chiropractor for her back problems.
:o |
Being the father of 3 girls (ages 6,8 and 16) and a son in college, I have developed quite the expertice in the Disney stars. Unfortunately, I probably know more about this subject than I do the mechanics of the Boxster.
The Disney stars are very popular with girls ages 5-about 16. Many of them go on tour singing and make alot more money than most successful singers. Unless you know someone, you can't just call and get tickets. I spent more money on the Hannah Montanna tickets last year than I did on Bruce Springsteen. Sad. But it's great to watch your kids having some much fun. Ali and Ajay, Vanessa Hutchins, Zack Efron, The Cheetah Girls are some of the Disney made singers who will sell out any auditorium in hours. Anyway, nice to add to a link. Usually, you are all so much more knowlegable than I am regarding the topics found in the forum. Eric K |

yep, shoes are serious business! And thank you all who knew who she was for letting me know. I guess I'm about 20 years too old to know without having kids. |
There is nothing like having your 4 year old little girl ask you to go for a ride in the Porsche, put down the top and then before you leave the driveway out comes the High School Musical CD, she had so much fun singing her lungs out as we drove but I had more fun watching her.
So Yes I must admit I know who Ashley Tisdale is. |
That's horribly cute :)
|
Not always in heels ;) :p
PS Couple of options I can see......19's / Elec. seats. Can't see if it is auto or not??? http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...e13__oPt12.jpg |
^^^
Hahaha, did you write "PIMP" on there? |
I hate to be stereotypical, but I would be willing to bet that girl has no idea how to drive a stick. And if she does she wouldn't use one as a DD in LA.
(Also, I have never heard of her before this) |

:D :D :D No, didn't write it.....found it like that! PS. I'd never heard of her either, but then again, I don't watch much TV/Movies.....too much mindless crap IMHO anyways. |
I am not sure who Ashley Tisdale is....
BUT....I looked at the purse blog that the OP is referring to. And I see what I think are adult women posting millions of messages about their new purses with titles such as "I did it i did it!! Im shaking like a leaf!! *IT'S HERE!!! PICS P. 17" The purse forum actually has almost 7 million posts. It is hugely larger than our forum here. I then did a search on Ebay to discover that some of these purses are priced from $50-100,000+ USD.....more than our Boxsters. I am actually shocked. |
Yeah, some purse prices are insanely crazy, like the Hermes Birkin, for example. While I admit it's not a bad looking purse, I don't think it's worth the price of a Boxster, even a used one. And it's probably one of the most coveted purses by a number of ladies.
http://www.modaluxury.com/hermes-handbag-30cm-birkin-tangerine-crocodile-p-523.html Oh, and that one in the link I posted could be fake. It's not easy to find a real one. |

Even a purse lover like myself doesn't have one nor do I want one. In a city like New Orleans, that thing could be gone in the blink of an eye and end up dumped in an alley by a crackhead who took the $5 that was inside. |
Paying more than $100 for a purse is idiotic. But $50,000+ takes superficiality to a new height.

Hence the reason why a lot of women do not tell their men how much they spend on a purse. :p But I agree, 50k is ridiculous. |

That place has 3 million posts so she is not alone.

OK... zziiiiiip. |
ha ha ha...this is a constant topic of discussion around here. I worked with a girl who had several dozen pairs of shoes and expensive hand bags. Tens of thousands of dollars. Clearly she had a problem. She had only a fraction of that amount sitting in stocks, IRA, etc.
That's the sad part. I know plenty of 'stay at home' wives who have no kids and just spend their money like there is no tomorrow on the latest Fendi (not even real leather!!!!!) bag but THEY CAN AFFORD TO DO IT...They're filthy rich and its no big deal. Mean while I know plenty of others who spend $500 a pair of shoes or $2K on a handbag and make no more than $100K a year. 2% of their personal income on a A bag?! :D another reason why we hear these celebrities go broke after their 15 minutes of fame are up. |

Damn! I said I wouldn't say anything. Ooooooops. Its pretty cool how LB can start a long thread on topics like a cute tween idol with good looking shoes. :) |
I guess I'm sort of an anomaly (if that's the right word) because I love cars AND shoes and purses and clothing. As a kid I played with dolls and cars. I say just spend your money on what you want to spend it on. Shoot, my dad works with a guy who spent $10k on a hunting trip! I was like WTF? But hey, each to his or her own....
|
Where I live there are children without parents that live in the sewer system under the city.
I just don' get a crocodile bag costing $50K USD...or even $10K. I remember being offered bags made out of exotic animal skins like this for about $20 in some countries. Quote:
