pics of the work done on the bike...

just wanted to update everyone on the bike situation.
heres what i did to the thing:
-raised the back of the bike, removed the loweing links
-raised the front, forks not stickig out anymore, then adjusted all the setting, like dampening, rebound etc.
guy that had it before drag raced it so it was set up like that... 600cc bike, lol
-installed a stock kickstand couse the original one was cut to compensate for lowered stance.
-installed shogun cut frame sliders
-black coated header/midpipe
-M4 carbon fiber exhaust
-LED flushmounts
-integrated tail light
-red rings in headlights.
-all decals removed, including bottom yamaha one
-got a z-II shoei helmet, and joe rocket gloves and jacket

next, i need heavier bar-ends and different grips to stop all this handlebar vibration (buzzing), and get pazzo short levers. that would be it for this season, and then prolly paint it urban camo

ooo btw, do not ride your bike without latchign the back seat completely, flew right off

ooo and lookout, couse i got a powdercaoting machine now

heres a pic or two

and this is a camo photoshop im thinking about. already got a guy that will do it for me

I have to agree with Unkle here - camo doesn't look great (maybe it looks better in person?)

Very nice bike! A good friend of mine got an R1 a few weeks back - I'll show him the red rings in your lights, I think he'll want to get them once he sees your pics.

thx guys.
so far so good with the bike,
now the tail lights is also tinted (well black hehe)
and about the camo, i think that there was maybe too much going on, so i left out the flat black portion, does this look better?

and btw, here are the tail lights.
also, all the shiny silver you see (footpegs and all) will be powdercoated black

DJ, In my opinion, the camo looks better in picture 2, but with something that looks so sharp without it, I say leave it black. It really looks like a work of art in all black, especially if you powdercoat more parts... The camo just looks really cheesy to me. I guess thats why 3 of 3 of my cars are black with black wheels, and black windows.

If you like the look of the rainbows, no one here will change your opinion though and it only needs to make one person smile... the one paying the insurance bill!

Keep us updated

Funny that you ask...

I was going to take a look at this over the weekend :

http://www.cycletrader.com/find/listing/2001-SUZUKI-GSXR600K1-GSXR600-92832490

Well, my wife pretty much told me last night no flippin' way !

( which I guess makes sense. BTW - she's two months pregnant )

I think the camo is okay. I still like the black better. As for the tinted lights. It looks nice but I'm not big on blacking out things that allow others to see you better. I've been there, done that and after doing it, I detemined it's just not worth it.

Keep up the good work but get rid of the tail light tint.

Not bad, DJ.

When are you going to take her to the track to learn to ride her?

Hey Nick, nice choice. I have the same style GSXR but a 2002 GSXR 750. No glamour shots, but one track shot of it mint before it took a spill:

Fortunately only got the fairing scraped up a little (tried to push it a little hard in 'the bowl'). Hey DJ, you coming around the LA area any time soon? Perhaps you can help me figure out how to repaint it
