Wink Best place to buy the 4 stalk

Hi;

I'm looking to buy the 4 stalk & VW connectors for OBC upgrade in my 03 Box. Where is the cheaper price?

Also, the black plastic Bosxter sign on the rear trunk is broken. Any idea where I can buy a replacement one?

Thanks guys.

Thierry

If you could find a salvaged 4 stalk, it might be cheaper than new but everyone wants them so they're bound to be few and far between or pricey.

Sunset Imports in Oregon would be your best bet. They only charge 20% over their hard cost from Germany. 1 (800) 346-0182

I was not aware that a dealer would sell the 4th stalk... that's what several have told me. This is the first instance I've heard of.

Sunset not only sells the stalks, it comes with the wires necessary to do the job.

Talking

Found mine from salvage yard. I think it was from Oregon for $55.00

They had cut the wires from instrument cluster side, so I even got the wire connector. I only needed VW connectors for cluster plugs.

It is worth to check with some less know dismantlers. They might not know that these are in high (?) demand.

Hey LowFlyR,

how much work was it to replace the Boxster instrument cluster with the Carrera cluster?

Carrera cluster to 986

It is not a huge project if you are lucky

Armed with knowledge which is now available from people who have done this mod, you can get lucky a lot easier than 6 months ago.
I still have a couple small kinks to fix. I now know what to do (I think), but I trouble finding time.

I would start by reading the WHOLE long topic @ Renntech: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=12805

After you read that (reserve full evening), I'll be happy to answer more exact questions. Gotta go to sleep.
