I am confused about your, "scenario." So your saying if you get the key and get it programmed, then lose it, you would get your original key and car reprogrammed to make the lost key inoperable?
Then you find the key you lost and get it reprogrammed?

I think your making this too complicated. If you lose the key somewhere you will be able to find it again, there is no need to worry about it being taken by someone who will try and steal the car. And if you lose the key in public, who ever finds the key will not know which Porsche it goes too. Plus, if your in a small town with only a few Porsches whoever finds it will most likely give it to the police.

I would advise that you keep the white tag the key comes with so if it needs to be reprogrammed it can be, and I would not worry about it. Getting the dealer to reprogram all your keys and car costs a lot.
