I met Mr. NickCats!!
Nick and his wife Charlotte drove from Illinois to Virginia for a family event, so we met for dinner tonight. What a great couple! From BS-ing on the board, I felt like I'd known Nick forever. Meeting Charlotte was a real treat - bright, funny and bee-uuu-ti-ful (Hope that was O.K. to mention. Frankly, it is impossible not to notice). It was a really nice evening. I hope they enjoyed themselves as much as I did.
Hope to see you again, Nick and have a safe drive home. Hope those Virginia Troopers don't squish your radar detector...

Grizzly, I'm not sure I would advertise that you know Nick... last time I did this I spent the weekend at the local police station answering a bunch of questions... then the local mafia sent a couple guys to rough me up...
If you get a chance to visit Chi-town make sure you let us know as there a plenty of people on the board from the area.
Are you going to the TOD in September with us?

Wouldn't be the first time I took an asswhoopin' because of a friend. You get used to it after a while.
I'm still not able to spend a whole lot of time in the Boxster, but I'm not completely counting out TOD yet. I still have a few months to improve.

I don't know. Nick's ok I guess. I met him too when I was up there a while ago... as for his wife... well, she's from Texas, and that's just how we harvest them here. I met quite a few of the Chicago guys. They're all cool!
Coincidently, I will be in Chicago for Memorial Day weekend! I'm excited. I'll be hitting up the some place in Joliet with my cousin called Autobahn Country Club in his R32 (or possibly his dad's Z06). Should be cool.

Jeph, I just made the mistake of clicking on "what I did today." Dude, do you buy Lipitor by the pallet, or what? Your healthcare provider is going to put a hit out on you.
You do realize that if you keep eating like that you're going to grow up to be...well...me.

Here's what I think happened. Charlotte was looking for; tall, dark & handsome. She met Nick, and figured 2 out of 3 ain't bad, and did the marriage deal. With the added cavate that he owned a Boxster!

I think you might be right... this entry wasn't too bad:
(This wasn't just my food btw)
That first page you saw was kinda unhealthy. I only take pictures of the food I think is interesting... I don't show the healthy stuff I eat. Who wants to see soup, egg-white omeletts, and salads? Actually, who wants to see any of the stuff I post?
Oh, and congrats Grizzly, you're the first forum member to make a mention on my pages...

Autobahn is a really really really nice facility! You'll have a great time!
Just in case you are interested, we (I don't have the complete attendee list but I am hoping it will be me, NickCats, mladen and Hyung) are running an autocross on Sunday, May 25th in Portage, IN (30-45 minutes from Joliet) if you would care to hang out? Bring your cousins R32 (or the vette) and have some fun!

Cool. Can you get me more info on that; registration, website, etc. That sounds like it would be fun!

We usually do onsite registration (I'm not a big fan of racing if it looks like rain). I believe registration starts at 8:00am. PM me your email and I'll keep you updated as to who else from my/our crew is going.

What's the weather looking like for this weekend? I hope the rain holds out. My cousin just sent me pix of the slicks and light weight wheels just put on!
