2002 Boxster obc hack

Can someone confirm the correct pinout numbers for the wiring on a 2002 when doing a complete 4 stalk hack.

TOOLPANTS???

There's a couple of different threads I came across and some don't mention the year car there doing the hack on. I just want to verify the numbers for the wiring from the obc stalk to the grey connector on the cluster for a 2002.

Hate to have to pull it apart againnnnnn for a misplaced wire!!

Toolpants send me a email with your address and I will send you a cluster reset shaft for your new TOOTHPICK

Thanks Brian

Yes I checked that web page and the links on the bottom of the page. The page is for a switch hack not a 4th stalk hack and the links are for early year Boxster

For 2001-2004.

The female connector to the stalk has 6 slots for 6 pins but only 5 are used. The mating male connector you need to buy also has 6 slots but only 5 are used. On both connectors the slots are numbered 1-6. Slot 6 is not used.

As Todd said. The wire from slot 1 on the male connector goes to ground. The wires from slots 2-5 of the male connector go to the 32 slotted grey instrument cluster connector.

The info on that site is wrong. The VW wires you need for a 2001-2004 is 000 979 009. You need, of course, 5 of them.

VW has jacked up the price so shop around for the wires.

Sunset VW Wires

I just did the 4th stalk hack recently. The wires are about $2.25 each at Sunset Porsche.
