GmBoxster,
I live in Ohio and try to drive my 98 once a week to work...I love every second of the 25 minute drive to and especially fro(I work nights and get off when I have the freeway to myself)!!! The pureness of the the car, mine is really basic, but there really is something to the mystique! Sure it nickel and dimes me...OK it dollar and five dollars me, but there is something about driving that car. I have not had a season to enjoy the top down weather, got her in October of 07. Just got my new/used shocks from LA distributers and can't wait to put them on with a few other goodies(sway brace mounts and drop links). My Box has 106+, runs great, but I am just updating the small stuff to make her a true Sunday driver. I fly helicopters for a living, so I get to park the box in a hanger and I always put the top down, usually so I can work on her...the guys I work with laugh jealously and always say when it is top down weather that I will have to have a net around the cockpit to keep the women out. Even at close to 10yrs old the car has that LOOK! Someone in another post mentioned that they look at their car with love every time they open the garage door, and I went "dude, that's me". I guess I am just trying to exude the pure love of this car!!!
