Unhappy Paul Frere is dead

I just learned that he died on 23 Feb at age 91. Great driver, author, and journalist whom I have followed for so long I feel as if I knew him.

Porsche community and automotive aficionados will miss him greatly.

Yes, indeed. Coincidentally I received my copy of his Boxster Entire Development History that very day.

Wow.. I didn't realize he had passed on. I always enjoyed his Road and Track articles as well as his books on Porsches. I think you are not alone "70 sixster" in feeling like you knew him. To those who have been around a while ( ) he will be missed.

I always enjoyed reading his articles, he was a great journalist and driver. At least he got to live a long, presumably enjoyable life.

He was a great car guy

I just finished reading his book "My life full of cars". Good Read for anyone who enjoys motor sports.
