Re: more rocks on the road vs. on the track: might be the case, but I'm trying to avoid all the "marble marks" too.

Unlike most autocross venues I've been on, the full size tracks typically have lots of rubber bits flying around at high speeds.

those darn blue rolls are expensive!

p.s.
If you have one of those magnetic numbers for your doors, place the blue tape under the numbers. A pesticide sprayer filled with water (obviously) from Home Despot also works to clean off the tires between laps.
