I wonder if the dealer will program this key to the immobilizer?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130201944213&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fmotors.search.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3Ff rom%3DR40%26satitle%3D130201944213%26fvi%3D1

I know they cant program the remote, but maybe they will program the immobilizer so I can use it as a valet key. Otherwise, I'll just take the front plate and switch with mine.

Nick

I am pretty sure, that the chip they program for the door locks, and for the immobilizer are one in the same. You need the white tag for the dealer to be able to program it in anyway.

Are you sure? because when I took the car apart I had two different parts. The immobilizer and the remote.

Anyone else have feedback?

When you buy a new key, they come with a white tag attached to it. The tag has the code, that is necessary for the dealer to program the key. Without it, the dealer won't be able to program the key to your car.
