dirt....


....j/k...just part of the design of the tube, it's hollow. I assume it's for sound deadening, sort of a muffler effect.

hollow? man that looks like some air turbulence to me. But how do I clean the damn engine bay? its not like I can spray it down...

There was a post on here last week about removing this "muffler".

Removed Intake Muffler, Sounds great!

Gary, he wouldnt be able to remove his intake Muffler, his is the type i was talking about that is intigrated into the intake tube design.

Wait, im not entirely correct lol, If he wanted to remove the intake he could if he bought the sylicone elbow like someone on the other thread suggested
