I think I'm done with my modifications...

Here are my latest mods:

- De-ambered tail lights
- Smoked side lights
- Bird Bike Rack (if you look hard you can see the mounting pipes on either side of the tail pipe)
- Snow wheel and tires; running Dunlops
- Oh, yeah; is that a Basalt Black Hardtop? I think it is...

Not bad for a guy who's never modified any vehicle before this, ever. Except for eventually dealing with my plastic rear window -- I am officially done.

fatmike,

Your car looks great! Black closely follows white as my favorite color although I don't think I will ever have a black car. I'm much too lazy to keep a black car looking nice like yours.

I know you are through with the mods, but if you change your mind, an inexpensive one is too add silver bulbs in your taillights that flash amber. It looks like yours are still amber, but I can't be sure from the pic.

BTW, it took some effort, and the help from a couple of friends, but I was able to get my hardtop to fit nice and snug in no time.

Dude, your car looks great but at least paint the bumperet's before you're done. Also, 19k on an 02? It's time to start driving it a little. And last, I don't mean to sound rude....but WTF is a bird bike rack?? You lug a bike around on this baby?

Looks really nice!

BTW, what mod did you do to the exhaust?? Are those straight pipes on either side??

EDIT: Hmmm,...nevermind, I guess I didn't read your post close enough.....those pipes are for your bike rack.

You think that mileage is low, my buddy up the street from me has a 97 Boxster he bought used with................... 18k. Freaky...
Anyways, she looks sweet fatmike, is the rack for road biking? Or are there big enough hills out there for fat tire?

MILEAGE: I bought the car in August of '07. It had 11K miles then. So, in about six months, I've put 9K on the car...

BIKE RACK: The bike rack slides right in those pipes. Its for a road bike. I travel with my bike frequently, and without a rack I couldn't own the Boxster as my only car. The design seems pretty good & nothing touches the paint or bumper.

HARDTOP: The hardtop doesn't fit the car that well yet. I just picked it up this weekend. I'll spend some effort adjust it. You can see there is too big of a gap if you compare it to ddb's top.

BUMPERETTE'S: The are unpainted & they dont' bother me. But, then again, the amber tail & side lights didn't bother me a few months ago either...

FUTURE MOD's: I will very likely spurge on some wheels too. I like the 997 TT wheels. I'll post a picture and eat some crow if I do it. My justification will be that the next car I buy will be a P-car too & I can keep the wheels... Oh my god, I think I have a problem.
