Be careful as to which top you get from topsonline.com. I got the Robbins cloth w/glass and have an issue with the top not fitting properly into the frame around the windows when you put it up. After a couple of e-mails to Robbins, no fix yet.

If somebody just cut your plastic window you should just replace the plastic part of the window and have it sewn in if the rest of the top doesnt have problems.

if anyone knows of a place that will do labor at 400, or heck even 500 or 600 let me know.

every place that i call wants 800-1000 for the labor, and then they want to charge you "retail" on the top, not the GAHH eBay price.

i understand they need to make some money on the top, but retail? OIY!

They lose Robbins tops. I prefer GAHH

Call Premier and ask for Roth. He'll probably want you to bring the car for him to see before he does the quote so he can verify there aren't ancillary issues like frame misalignment, etc. I don't know what his policy is about bringing your own top to be installed. I recommend just having him order and install because then he handles any warranty issues that may come up. If you bring your own top he'd be within his rights to back only the installation, which means if you ever have a warranty issue with the top itself someone may have to pay him for labor to address it. I would expect that to be true for any shop.

3) Yes, the genuine Porsche top is expensive.

4) An advantage to a top like the GAHH, is that you can get an upgrade to a GLASS rear window.. Last I checked, the glass tops were about $1,000-1200 and a plastic top ranged from about $700-1000.
5) Cabrioworld sucks!
