You may be able to get a set of dual tips from one of the auto-dismantlers, and then have your single tip cut off and the duals welded on. Considering the expense of the dual muffler and the conversion kit, welding on a new set of tips may be a lot cheaper. The muffler internals are pretty much identical...and you'd be sure not to add any resonance.

so the 986 S exhaust mounts up to an 01 non-S just fine?

hmm i want the dual tips too ...
