It actually got up to 64 today at my office - I wanted to duck out for a while to drive around with the top down, but couldn't get away.

I know what you mean by the drive... I remember once when I lived in Lincoln Park and worked in DesPlaines (still work there) it was a 16 mile trip one way. During one of these heavy snows it took me almost 3 1/2 hours to get to work... only to find that we were closed... then another 3 or so on the way home... over 6 hours in the car and a half tank of gas used I was ready for a cold one ! Chicago in the snow sucks big time . Now I drive the opposite way... 60 miles west and it averages 60 minutes from parking lot to home. Same as my 16 mile trip! Even the snow days going west are not that bad. It's all I-90 so it's pretty smooth sailing.
