Yep, broke some bolts...

For anyone who is following my adventures with the rusted bolts sure enough 5 of the heads broke off the exhaust manafold bolts. It is funny that on both sides it was the ones that were closest to the transmission that broke. I'm going to have to take some pics and document the process.

For now I have left it till next weekend when I struggle to get the rest of the exhaust off and work on freeing up the broken bolts. Luckily there is a stem sticking out of each so I have something to work with.

heat the area around the stud with a torch. it will expand and release the stud. then, remove the broken stud with vice grips.
