winter covering

I live in the DC area where winters aren't too harsh, but I'm still going to buy a covering b/c I have no garage. I'm open to suggestions as to what I should look for in shopping for a cover. How much should I expect to spend? should I consider a hardtop cover?

another question: What does the automatic speed control light indicate? I've only noticed it recently.

Are you planning to drive and cover, or park your car for the season?

Speed control light tells you that you have exceeeded a preset speed.

I plan to cover the car when the winter weather's bad and uncover it if the weather warms up. any recommendations on a good cover?

Also, with the speed control indicator light, what does it mean to say I've exceeded a preset speed?

If I still lived in NW Washington I would have let you park it for the winter.

I live in Alexandria and have the Boxster and a Z4 . . . I just bought a Boxster cover from a dealer for $170 that looks to me like it will fit the bill just fine. It comes with a storage bag and cable/lock. I've had one for the Z4 for about 6 months that I think is made by "Weathershield" that also does an excellent job. I do plan on uncovering and running them once a week (weather permiting).
