had to be a ruf,9th player o year why not a ruf. and how about that osh-kosh toter home you could pull all your friends and toys to a track day. 1000 ft.lb. grunt.awesome!!

Just because Wayne Grestky was an amazing Hockey player, it doesn't mean he is an all knowledgeable Porsche/Ruf enthusiast.

While I am not certain, I don't think "RUF" produced cars were legally brought into the states untill the 1990s. I think all "rufs" before then for US consumption were cars converted at either RUF in Germany or RUF centers in the US.

That said, a 1989 930 Turbo sits in the "gray area" in my mind. Too new/current to have gathered any real collector car status. Maybe in another 10 years.. To some, the "ruf" performance goodies take away from the car's "collector" status.
