Question What normally sits above and behind the spare tire?

As I was loading Xmas presents into my 2-week-old, used 04 the morning, I noticed what appeared to be mounting points in the front trunk just behind and above the spare tire. It appeared that some piece of equipment was missing. Does anyone know what normally goes there?

It sounds like you're describing the mounting spot for the optional CD changer.

... or the control module for the grenade launcher. Mine was removed from the car by the previous owner

All kidding aside, It's definitely one of the above because the grenade launcher's weren't an option until 07.

One one of my visits to Colombia I learned my In laws condo is walking distance to the Porsche dealer in Bogota Colombia. I have a picture of it somewhere. I will track it down. Even in S.A. the dealerships resemble the Porsche structure.

Directly above and behind the spare tire is the AMP. CD Changer on passenger's side.

Pix of AMP (I was upgrading from 4 channel to 6 channel AMP when I added my rear speaker kit)
