				Wheel help

Hey gang, I was at an autocross this past weekend and a guy there had a 930 with black carrera lightweight wheels. I need a set of wheels for the track/autocross and I really liked the look. Unfortunately I couldn't find the guy to ask him where he got them. I did a search on google and came up short. Can you guys help? Just to clarify they look just like these except black.

			Try wheeldynamics.com.
I am not sure if anyone ever made them in black, the guy probably did it himself. If you search here, there are some threads on DIY rims painting.

I'm pretty sure Rick's right, they don't come in black, only silver. Check with Carlos at Wheel Dynamics. He's been listing a bunch of wheels on ebay lately with custom color combinations. Maybe he's hooked up with a powder coater that could shoot a set black for you. http://986forum.com/forums/wheeldynamics.net |

Ok, so I'll have to have them painted black if I want black I guess. I noticed that the repro carrera wheels are 10" wide in the back instead of 9 inches like OEM stock ones I have. Some ebay sellers say they will not fit boxsters....whats the story?

I'm looking at your signature pic. Isn't that what you're running now???
Oh, now I get it, I think. You have a set of factory wheels on your car and you're asking about repops. Sorry, I'm a little slow.

They must fit the Boxster. Randall, Kraker and Blink (pre-Dukes of Hazard imitation) are all using them.

The 10's can be made to work. You may need a small spacer. If you car is lowered, you will need to check the clearance along the shock/strut/coils to make sure they are not rubbing.

Thanks for the responses guys. Yes, my car came with the factory carrera wheels, but I want a black set so I can mount R compounds on for racing. Randall and all others out there, are you guys running the 10" wide versions out back or a narrower version? If you are running the 10" version, are you running spacers? I can't seem to find 9 inch wide carrera repros.

What size carrera lights are you guys running? I know a lot of the members here have the repro wheels.
