Porsche Boxster oil film below rear bumper

Hi !
i was hoping someone could give me some hints as to what the oil film i am noticing underneath the rear bumpers is all about.

This happens everytime i drive the boxster. The film is a very slight residue, which i am not 100% sure it's oil. I checked the engine for any leaks : nothing.
check out the following pictures :

Thanks for any tips !

Looks like dirt to me. That's one of the reasons I also RejeX the rear bumper too. Dirt just slidesssss off.

Bartman, are you the guy that caught that ball at the Cubs game??

dirt ?

Thanks bmussati !
Hmmm, i am not sure it's dirt. Open the 2 pictures and look closely directly underneath the 2 black bumpers. You can clearly see some sort of "run-off"
coming from somewhere... When i rub with my finger over this it doesn't come off easy, nor does it have a typical oil smell.
I am going to remove the fabric inside the trunk tonight to see if it originates somewhere from their.

I'll keep you posted.

PS: if i would have caught that ball i would have bought a 911 instead haha!

I did look at the pictures.

Maybe it is a residue off the bumperettes. Do you put any stuff on the rubber bumperettes?

Exactly. I'd say it was an Armor-All like product leeching off the bumperette.

Smile could be !

You know what, that would make sense. I just bought the Porsche from a dealership in Cincinnati. Those guys normally use that stuff to make the car look in tip-top-shape before they sell it. I'll call them to confirm this !
Thanks guys...

Bartman, OK, call them, and then your next call should be to Eric at www.bumperplugs.com to order some painted bumperettes. Don't ever post pictures here again until they are painted. Rule # 17 sec. e4!!!!
