Can I completely change an interior?
Hey All,
New to the forum and planning on purchasing a 2002 black boxster S with red interior. I am not crazy about the red. What options are out there as far as replacing seats, dash, etc. Any ideas for a ballpark price to get this done and any suggestions for places that do this sort of thing? Thanks for your help.
Greg

With enough money you can do anything. Can you change the interior? Sure. Do you have a lot of money? Because that's what it will take. A more affordable approach would be to just sell the car and buy one that is closer to what you want.

Yes you can ,and it can be pricey, depending on how far you want to go.
You can call LA Dismantlers and see how they might help. Normally, their used parts are about half the price of new.
That plus a carpet shop may get you in motion.
Keep us posted.

I have a better idea. Don't buy it. Use the money you were going to spend on swapping the interior out and buy one with less miles or a year or two newer for the same price, in your color scheme.
It's a great time to be in the market for a convertible sports car. The weather is getting cold and the economy is slipping. You will find a deal if you keep your head up.

Interior
Hey Greg, I have a 2000 Boxster. I'd really interested in buying the red interior from you.
Let me know.
I can also swap my interior with yours with some $.

I'd leave the red. It sounds like a nice, unique colour combination.

The red leather, for some, is a very sought after color...and classic Porsche.
Try simple things first, like changing the floor matts to black.

Find a different car. It wil probably cost a few grand to change the entire dash, seats, console, etc. And unless you changed everything it would look akward. It really would not be worth the effort and money.
