what is this?

Anyone know what the heck this is?
Looking at the passenger side front bumper in the radiator intake, I found a black electrical wire with a pointie thing on the end of it. There is not one on the driver's side.

that would be a temperature sensors.
there is a little round opening on the grille for it to sit in.
